September General Membership Meeting - The September General Membership Meeting was held Wednesday, September 20th. We welcomed Daniel L. Kiselbach, J.D. Partner, Deloitte Tax Law LLP, Global Trade and Customs, Tax. Members benefited from learning about Non-Resident Importers and how they must operate within the unique Canadian GST/HST tax structure and how to avoid the common issues.

WESCCON is coming - WESCCON 2017 has already set registration records. We understand that hotel rooms are filling fast. If you have not already registered and made hotel reservations for the October 12-15 conference, act fast! You can find more information and register HERE.

November Seminar - The CRCBFA will be hosting Laurel Duvall, CBP National Import Specialist for Chapter 44, Lumber on November 15th, 2017. This highly anticipated seminar will focus on the intricacies of lumber classification. The CRCBFA is pending final travel confirmation and will open the seminar for registration as soon as Mrs. Duvall’s travel is confirmed.

-2/+1 Regulations - Both U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) have issued Federal Registrar Notices requesting suggestions for regulations that can be annulled. Deadlines for these public comments are fast approaching, so please reach out to Brenda Barnes (CRCBFA Board Member, Export Chair, COAC Member) should you need further information on submitting or passing on a suggestion.
