CRCBFA Recognized by Export Council of Oregon and U.S. Commercial Services
The CRCBFA was presented with an Export Achievement Certificate at the February 26th mid-winter International Business Networking Reception. The quarterly receptions are hosted by the U.S. Commercial Service-Portland office and draw a diverse group of international trade professionals to network, exchange best practices and celebrate the success of local exporters.
The Export Achievement Certificate was presented by Barry Horowitz, Chairman of the Export Council of Oregon, and accepted on behalf of the CRCBFA by Brenda Barnes, CRCBFA Export Chair. Mr. Horowitz spoke about the challenging export environment pointing out that freight forwarders are often left to problem solve on behalf of the exporters who play a vital role in our local economy.
Upon accepting the certificate Brenda shared her obvious passion for the trade community and reminded us all that 47% of jobs in Oregon are related to international trade. If you or anyone at your organization is interested in attending one of the quarterly International Business Networking Receptions you can find more information HERE.
